Big day for Ruby!!

Ruby did it!! She's walking!! I've been so worried the last few days that I would miss her first steps. I would even visualize myself never leaving her side. Not even to pee just to see them. Today we were at my parents. I rolled out for a much needed pedicure and when I walked in the door, Ruby stood up and walked over to me!!!! I was certain she walked while I was out, like Ava did when we were at Breyne's parents but she didn't AND her first steps were over to me!! I'm high, photos will soon follow.

Our New Neighbor

We got a new neighbor a month or so ago. This is his car. This person appears to be an artist. They purchased, moved in and began painting the inside walls bright colors. Their car just makes me happy. I got a gorgeous LV bag when I turned 25 from my parents. It was the same one the celebrities lugged around that year. I rarely ever use it. I feel silly owning such a pricey bag. I love that this car is an old hooptie with a designer paint job. I'm liking the new neighbors!

People making as a community, amongst strangers......

I had a bad day. There's too much I would love to say but will not. I was in a horrible mood today for several reasons. Then I came across this speech from Randy Pausch. Google him.........its too easy to let the small upset us. I'm going to try harder.

Meet Lulu......

These chicks rock! Their play dates consist of taking turns on the mic and drums and they play everything. I think they are going to grow up to be rock stars!

El Capitan Canyon

We went camping and it was fun!!! We stayed in gorgeous safari tents with gauzy lamps (yes, theres electricity) and goose down comforters, thats right! .You can cross the creek to the beach, hike to see the lamas, eat at the cafe, play at the play structure with your kids, go in the hot tub, swim and/or get a massage!!!! I love this place!! There's a fire pit and a picnic table so you can do the campfire thing. It's perfect for a person who loves nature but doesn't enjoy sleeping on the ground, me. Breyne loves camping and I love the idea of it, the hikes, the air, the smells, the stars but I don't really like the tent thing or the lack of any light on the way to the bathroom and in the bathroom at night. That kinda scares the crap out of me. This place is perfect for my family. I keep dreaming about when we can go back.
Did I mention that the stars were every where and it looked as if we could reach out and touch them? It was a sparkling beautiful sky.
